I don't know what is her roommate situation is but all I know is that Brenda Harris is in part of the hospice program which had literally broken my heart.

Prayers going up for relationships/ friendships/ acquaintances to be centered on God's pure love, with eyes, hearts, and minds focused soul-y on pleasing the Lord first and foremost, and helping others get to Heaven. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
"CCC 2350: Those who are engaged to marry are called to live chastity in continence. They should see in this time of testing a discovery of mutual respect, an apprenticeship in fidelity, and the hope of receiving one another from God. They should reserve for marriage the expressions of affection that belong to married love. They will help each other grow in chastity."
"CCC 1661 The sacrament of Matrimony signifies the union of Christ and the Church. It gives spouses the grace to love each other with the love with which Christ has loved his Church; the grace of the sacrament thus perfects the human love of the spouses, strengthens their indissoluble unity, and sanctifies them on the way to eternal life (cf. Council of Trent: DS 1799)."
"CCC 1618: Christ is the center of all Christian life. The bond with him takes precedence over all other bonds, familial or social. From the very beginning of the Church there have been men and women who have renounced the great good of marriage to follow the Lamb wherever he goes, to be intent on the things of the Lord, to seek to please him, and to go out to meet the Bridegroom who is coming. Christ himself has invited certain persons to follow him in this way of life, of which he remains the model:
"For there are eunuchs who have been so from birth, and there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by men, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. He who is able to receive this, let him receive it." (Mt 19:12)
1619 Virginity for the sake of the kingdom of heaven is an unfolding of baptismal grace, a powerful sign of the supremacy of the bond with Christ and of the ardent expectation of his return, a sign which also recalls that marriage is a reality of this present age which is passing away.
1620 Both the sacrament of Matrimony and virginity for the Kingdom of God come from the Lord himself. It is he who gives them meaning and grants them the grace which is indispensable for living them out in conformity with his will..."

Lord Jesus, You have risen to new Life! Give me new eyes with which to recognize Your Presence in the world around me. Sharpen my vision so that I see beyond the ordinary events of each day and into the extraordinary reality of Your Grace. Brighten my view of the world with renewed hope in the coming of Your Kingdom. Soften my gaze so that I view others with the kind of tenderness and compassion You showed to so many. May each day of this Easter season provide glimpses of Your glory. In Your sacred Name (Jesus), I pray. Amen. (St. Joseph's parish bulletin online, Easter Sunday).
Jesus, I trust in You!
Thy Kingdom come! ~Regnum Christi motto.

Dearest St. Joseph, I humbly ask you for healing of the heart , and mind of my grandaughter's Camille's boyfriend Sebastian D L H. Please let him see the error of his cruel way, in his verbal treatment towards Camille, He refuses to accept any responsibility for the reason why Camille was left no option but to break the relationship off. They still love and miss each other terribly, He must stop being hurtful with his words, accusatory, suspicious of everything she does, jealous of her friendships, Ibe able to tell her he loves and adores her as a loving man should. Please grant him the ability to speak his feelings to her openly to her, restore his ability to communicate in a proper manner. They both want this relationship to continue, but without intersession and a cleansing and healing of hearts and minds, to begin anew, it will never succeed. I pray for nothing more than to see these two beautiful souls loving and happy again. Please, Devine St. Joseph, perform, you miraculous intercession, on Sebastian and Camille, and bring them back together with love, respect, trust, better communication, and have them have eyes, hearts, and minds focused soley on each other and never let "temptations'
or outside influences, destroy their love and committment to each other. Please reunite ,Camille Diaz and Sebastion D L H
together again. Thank You ,Devine St Joseph, Amen In Jesus Holy Name

So thankful for the Penance service we had here at our very own parish -- with guest priests too! God is good! Especially after the church shutdown during the beginning of the pandemic, it is wonderful to have access to our sacraments -- let's not take them for granted, and pray for our good priests. 😀 I was glad to prepare for the beautiful feast of Easter, and look forward to preparing for next Sunday's feast too: Divine Mercy Sunday! I'm delighted by the promise of the extraordinary grace by receiving Holy Communion with my soul cleaned up in a state of Grace, with trust in His merciful Love. "Create in me a clean heart o God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me!" (Psalms). I could even go to Confession 1 more time before next Sunday, just to make sure my soul is squeaky clean. 😀
“In the tribunal of mercy [the Sacrament of Reconciliation]... the greatest miracles take place and are incessantly repeated... To avail oneself of this miracle, it is not necessary to go on a great pilgrimage or to carry out some external ceremony; it suffices to come with faith to the feet of My representative and to reveal to him one’s misery, and the miracle of Divine Mercy will be demonstrated.” (Diary of St. Faustina: Divine Mercy in my Soul, entry 1448).

Something I read/ am praying about from St. JP2's writing, "Dives in Misericordia"/ God who is rich in Mercy --
"...Christ emphasizes so insistently the need to forgive others that when Peter asked Him how many times he should forgive his neighbor He answered with the symbolic number of "seventy times seven,"131 meaning that he must be able to forgive everyone every time. It is obvious that such a generous requirement of forgiveness does not cancel out the objective requirements of justice. Properly understood, justice constitutes, so to speak, the goal of forgiveness. In no passage of the Gospel message does forgiveness, or mercy as its source, mean indulgence towards evil, towards scandals, towards injury or insult. In any case, reparation for evil and scandal, compensation for injury, and satisfaction for insult are conditions for forgiveness.
Thus the fundamental structure of justice always enters into the sphere of mercy. Mercy, however, has the power to confer on justice a new content, which is expressed most simply and fully in forgiveness. Forgiveness, in fact, shows that, over and above the process of "compensation" and "truce" which is specific to justice, love is necessary, so that man may affirm himself as man. Fulfillment of the conditions of justice is especially indispensable in order that love may reveal its own nature. In analyzing the parable of the prodigal son, we have already called attention to the fact that he who forgives and he who is forgiven encounter one another at an essential point, namely the dignity or essential value of the person, a point which cannot be lost and the affirmation of which, or its rediscovery, is a source of the greatest joy.132
The Church rightly considers it her duty and the purpose of her mission to guard the authenticity of forgiveness, both in life and behavior and in educational and pastoral work. She protects it simply by guarding its source, which is the mystery of the mercy of God Himself as revealed in Jesus Christ..."
(14. The Church Seeks To Put Mercy into Practice)
"...In the name of Jesus Christ crucified and risen, in the spirit of His messianic mission, enduring in the history of humanity, we raise our voices and pray that the Love which is in the Father may once again be revealed at this stage of history, and that, through the work of the Son and Holy Spirit, it may be shown to be present in our modern world and to be more powerful than evil: more powerful than sin and death. We pray for this through the intercession of her who does not cease to proclaim "mercy...from generation to generation," and also through the intercession of those for whom there have been completely fulfilled the words of the Sermon on the Mount: "Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy." "

Prayer for Healing of Victims of Abuse (USCCB; VIRTUS Online)
"God of endless love,
ever caring, ever strong,
always present, always just:
You gave your only Son
to save us by the blood of his cross.
Gentle Jesus, shepherd of peace,
join to your own suffering
the pain of all who have been hurt
in body, mind, and spirit
by those who betrayed the trust placed in them.
Hear the cries of our brothers and sisters
who have been gravely harmed,
and the cries of those who love them.
Soothe their restless hearts with hope,
steady their shaken spirits with faith.
Grant them justice for their cause,
enlightened by your truth.
Holy Spirit, comforter of hearts,
heal your people's wounds
and transform brokenness into wholeness.
Grant us the courage and wisdom,
humility and grace, to act with justice.
Breathe wisdom into our prayers and labors.
Grant that all harmed by abuse may find peace in justice.
We ask this through Christ, our Lord. Amen."

I loved Monsignor Kevin's homily at Mass this morning! So full of mercy! 🙂 When I read this later, it all went together in my heart!
Reflection: "On every occasion and in every way, Mary comes to the aid of our misery, calms our fears, and perks up our faith. She sustains our hope, dispels our misgivings, and remedies our laxity." ~St. Bernard
Prayer: "O Mary, you are our consolation and our help. Come to my aid especially in time of trial when I am vulnerable. Make me remember all that Jesus did for me and keep me faithful to Him." (April 3, "Mary Day by Day" prayerbook).
"This week, let us turn to Our Blessed Mother who was free from all sin. May she help us to receive the grace that God longs to give to us — the grace to sin no more, to trust in his mercy and to learn how to forgive one another." (Abp. José H. Gomez, April 3, Twitter).
