Heavenly Father, God Almighty, I humbly thank you for the successful surgery of my mother and pray for her healing as she recovers.

I also thank you for your intercession in the job interview opportunity last July 2 and humbly pray for guidance and the success of my second interview tomorrow July 22.

Please intercede for my requests, if it be Your will.

I pray for my brother in law Alberto Toledo to stop doing drugs and to find himself a good girlfriend from church and to focus on the family especially on his son Ian Toledo. I also pray for myself to stop my condition epilepsy and for my pregnancy to be healthy for my baby and no complications, I also pray for my daughter Marjorie Ortiz to stop all the problems of court that I have on June 17,2024 and for her grandma Christabel Lemus to respect court orders and the fighting Amen.

I ask for prayers for my father Pasquale so that he can sell my grandparents' house. My father, in order to treat my sister, who had been suffering from cancer for 4 years and then died, had to make up debts and now he has to pay them off with the sale of this house.

Wishing/ hoping/ praying that my mom and I can work out the logistics in the near future for my Dad's ashes to be interred at the cemetery where my mom picks out the right niche. I'm trying my best to honor his cremains where we still have him at home for now-- I put a Mary statue and flowers in front, along with the Companions of St. Anthony prayer book always open to pray "for the deceased" anytime. When I think of it, I pray that prayer again, like I did just before writing this. (Thank you to whoever left that little book on a church counter, it is well-loved here.) Sometimes at 3pm I go pray the Chaplet in front of him too. I feel guilty that we haven't gotten him properly "buried" yet, like we're being greedy, hogging him, not letting his other loved ones have open-access to paying their respects. I know the Bible says to follow Jesus and "let the dead bury the dead" but since I'm stuck where I'm at I need to bloom where I'm planted and be involved with the work of mercy to bury the dead. I feel a lack of closure; I feel stunted in my stages of grief. I also struggle with lapsing into the stage of denial, believing he's still alive, and these aren't really his ashes. I also feel like having them at home is haunting our house, and I'd like them placed in/ on sacred ground. I'm trying to create as sacred of an area as I can. I'd like for him to have a Christian funeral (if he's dead? Like I said: denial). But I did baptize him just in case, and pray the Chaplet for him before he died, so although he was intubated and had not necessarily wanted that, I hope his soul embraced it peacefully once it happened. I ask Mama Mary to look after him and for him to forgive me for all my misdeeds. I can't imagine a Heaven without seeing him again, so I hope he will be there when I get there someday. I wish I had been a more patient, kind, appreciative, understanding daughter, but I went through phases and neglected to be the best example I could, and left him feeling not as loved as he wanted. I'm afraid I made him feel unloved by God sometimes. I'm afraid that if he ends up in hell it'll partly be my fault, and I keep praying and praying that he won't go there.

Very thankful to get my very first smartphone today (in my early forties and I've never had a smartphone!) We're keeping the old flip phone because it belonged to dad and can still make emergency phone calls so it's good to have around. Plus I have to retrieve my contacts from there now. But I'd like to pray that I don't become addicted to my new smartphone just because it has access to much more than my old phone did. For many years now, I've observed how people all around me in various locations may be on their phones, while I'd be reading a book or walking safely without distraction. I want to keep praying and reading and living my life without becoming overly dependent on my phone. I'd rather type on a computer keyboard because I can type 85 words a minute, instead of one finger poke at a time on my phone. I'd rather watch tv/ movies on our tv set. And I don't need a bunch of apps. I've selected a few free ones such as Hallow, Relevant Radio, and the Divine Mercy/ Mary apps. Plus Door Dash (but I want to try that as a job, not use it myself). I especially wanted a smartphone so that I can try side jobs that require apps. This is particularly important to me because my new regular steady job only lasted 1 month due to it causing a chronic cough from the work environment (sink chemicals, not smoke or anything, I'm not brave enough to be a fireman!) Anyway, I'm open to delivering groceries, walking dogs, and other types of side jobs that have a flexible schedule but require a smartphone app. Here's my time to be responsible and not just play games or watch moves on my phone. I admit I do like talking to Siri though. She tells funny jokes and recommended I check out EWTN when I requested her to tell me a particular prayer. Sometimes it's just neat getting to hear her voice anytime I say "hey Siri" and she's there listening and so far hasn't told me I'm annoying so that's a plus.
