Please pray for our 3 year old granddaughter Emily Crook, daughter of Nathan Crook SJ Class of 2001.
Emily has been in the PICU at Duke University Medical Center for 3 weeks fighting MIS-C brought on by an acute appendicitis. We almost lost her due to total body inflammation and organ failure. She is out of danger now, but has a long road ahead until she can leave the hospital. The doctors think she had an asymptomatic case of Covid and one of the rare complications is MIS-C. Please continue to ask everyone to get vaccinated and warn the parents of young children that can’t be vaccinated of this potentially fatal syndrome.
Prayers saved her life….everyone we know sent out prayer chains from every faith and religion. After watching YouTube mass today, we were reminded that I needed to ask the parish for prayers. I have been in NC this whole time and I am finally able to write this email. Thank you!!!
